This might be difficult to answer, but how much did the success of Spider-Gwen catch Marvel off-guard? I've been a Marvel fan for a long time and I've NEVER seen a character get this much attention in such a short span of time.
It was a total and complete surprise, but a very welcome one, as you might imagine. It’s great when something takes off unexpectedly.
